Building the Future

After taking a closer look at some of the projected Network States, we've decided to write a little addition to our previous post on the subject, Virtual Reality.



Presuming they mean the European side of the Mediterranean, and they avoid messing with Turkey and Russia, Praxis has likely found the safest spot for this kind of endeavour (UPDATE: apparently they're also considering the Dominican Republic, so they're not so clever after all). After all, it's not as if the rest of Europe is going to bomb them. The most we'd do is write some strongly worded letters and maybe threaten them with sanctions that would take ages to approve.



Meanwhile, after the shady/outright corrupt rulers on whom they were relying either turned against them or were replaced by Hugo Chávez wannabes, their brethren who chose to set up shop in less peaceful, inefficient continents, find themselves under siege from armies and hostile locals who don't care for online money. Forced to ration their supplies, their utopia slowly morphs into a dystopian nightmare...
